Permanent role / Hybrid WFH (3 days in the office) $150,000 - $160,000 Super 10% Bonus North Ryde Location This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible role within the finance function of a large, complex organisation where you'll combine technical accounting expertise with people leadership and process improvement. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Shared Services, you'll take ownership of the Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting function, leading a combination of onshore and offshore resources while partnering with finance and operational stakeholders across the business. This role has recently been expanded following an internal restructure, creating an opportunity for an experienced finance leader who enjoys improving processes, influencing stakeholders and leading high-performing teams. Responsibilities include: Leading the Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting function across a large national business. Managing month-end and year-end activities relating to fixed assets, depreciation, capitalisation and disposals. Owning IFRS 16 lease accounting and ensuring ongoing compliance. Maintaining the integrity of the Fixed Asset Register and associated balance sheet reconciliations. Driving strong financial controls, governance and audit readiness. Leading and developing an offshore Shared Services team based in India and small local team Partnering with operational leaders and finance stakeholders across the business to provide technical accounting guidance. Identifying opportunities to improve, automate and standardise finance processes. We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting capability with proven leadership experience. You'll ideally bring: CA or CPA qualification. Significant experience in Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting and Record to Report. Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 16. Experience leading finance teams within a large corporate or shared services environment. Previous experience managing offshore teams. A strong controls and governance mindset. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across both finance and operational teams. Experience leading experienced finance professionals and developing high-performing teams. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
